THE PSYCHOLOGY , ATTITUDE AND MIND MANAGEMENT

Understanding a situation, and going in for a change in our attitude, helps us to get rid of the stress, especially when we are NOT able to understand a situation correctly and when we are stubborn with our attitude which may be wrong, perhaps.

Attempting the impossible /possible with the incompatible system /or rigid infrastructure produces stress/strain. Even with the proper infra structure, we may not achieve the result. Because of our incapacity and attitude or wrong approach. The systems in which we work, the organisations, the hierarchies we are working day after day, ARE to be blamed for the stress. It is normally resistant to innovation, and modernisation, and rational judgment.

You may try to go from non specific targets to specific targets. Divide work into modules of work, easily comprehensible. Go from narrowly set objectives, perspectives to larger and broader perspectives. It will give you a feeling going for a ride in the ocean free of traffic hassles! Many an executive is found to find himself at cross roads, caught in a net, not meant for him. An abstract fear of the unknown comes over without specificity.
When an 80 cc two wheeler is forced to do the work of running like a 300 cc engine , there is stress on the machine.

For the body the remedy lies in suitable food, suiting the job and lifestyle and exercise and activity. For the mind ,thinking style, approach to problem solving using techniques, professional approach to mind management helps. Not only are executives in plight and trying to meet both ends meet in time management, but so are their children studying in schools, their wives trying to meet schedules. We have become less innovative, and drudgery is something we have to come to live with.

That is why stress.

Lack of knowledge and there by quarreling with tools, produces stress. So knowledge is needed. The same tools may be handled by another efficiently and may not produce stress for another!

Finding no solution do not resort to any expedient solutions, that will have severe unforeseeable repercussions, developments. Problem solving techniques: Wrong understanding of the problem /Postponing the remedial measures, Postponing work results in more problems. Early start and early finish relieves stress. Keep bonus time and avoid starting late for work and brushing every body aside on the way to office. Lack of planning produces difficulties/Open interaction with others friends terms helps in finding numerous ways and means. Adjust with others' capacities and incapacities and at home and office and elsewhere patient listening is a must. Talk less. You may be talking convincingly but you may be wrong. Go for common welfare, common cause from private selfish ends. Smile more/laff more. Some persons drive for hours together and do not get tired mentally. Some others get easily tired after a short drive. This is due to the attitude of the persons. Relax and drive. Relax between work during work by changing form one work to another. But dont stop work and relax. Stop at a place where you can stop without having anyone wait on you. Try to clear the work for which people are waiting on you, in person, on phone, and about to turn up. Despite all your endeavours if no success comes to you ignore dont get emotional. Be a computer chip and not a sentimental emotional vehement person or vehicle for emotions. Act , take the results as they are, and bear with the consequences--- without taking it all into the mind.

Make procedures if there are not any. Lack of procedures can cause stress. have check lists, if there are nt any. it is easy to get out of work by going through the procedures meticulously. dont be shy of procedures. If there is no system try to form one. dont try to argue with another to make him understand your point. First try to listen to him and understand and tell him that he is right (because he is in his own perspective and experience) and then try to put out your proposal and put your points. Do not ignore problems welcome them. They will help you become strong. But there are also exceptions to every rule. In between work take a break of 10minutes to go for a thought free walk .keep your mind free, look and stand and stare and be cool. This will give more energy to do more work than without the break! Be a computer chip not a sentimental emotional vehement person or vehicle for emotions.Make procedures if there are not any.
